I currently work as a Software Engineer at ModalAI, where I build tools to automate and expedite the production process as well as make contributions to software on all levels. I graduated from San Diego State University in May, 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

I have lived in San Diego all of my life. I was first introduced to Computer Science in high school and have been fascinated by it ever since. When I'm not coding I enjoy working out, discovering new music, and reading about new technologies on Hacker News.

College Projects

> Board Game Simulation

This program using the Python agent-based modeling library, Mesa, simulates a simple randomized board game. Two teams, red and blue, seek to find and capture each other on a board. Each piece starts on a random, independent square. Teams take turns moving 1 adjacent space in a random direction each move. If they land on a space already occupied by an opponent, they capture the piece. The first team to capture all of the other pieces wins.

> Lanchester's Law Simulation

This program simulates a demonstration of Lanchester's Square Law using the Mesa Python library. Lanchester's Law is a differential equation describing the time dependence of two armies' strengths, α and β, as a function of time, with the function only depending on α and β. Lanchester's Law has been used to model historical battles for research purposes. Examples include Pickett's Charge of Confederate infantry against Union infantry during the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg, and the 1940 Battle of Britain between the British and German air forces.

> Diet & Exercise Model

Weight Loss Graph Weight Loss Study

I created this tool as part of the final project for my modeling and simulation course. My health is very important to me and I believe it should be important to you as well. According to 2015-2016 CDC Data, the prevalence of obesity in the United States was 39.8% and affected about 93.3 million adults. I believe that one of the reasons why obesity has become such a big issue is because of the lack of knowledge on the best ways to stay fit and the best ways to prevent obesity, through both diet and exercise.

This is why I created a tool to simulate diet & exercise plans instantly. Therefore, providing the necessary information one needs to proceed on their journey to a healthy lifestyle. This tool takes in one's health, diet, and exercise information and simulates the corresponding diet and exercise plan over a specified period of time. It uses the Matplotlib Python library to create easy to read graphs showing one's change in weight.
